The Yang Won Sun Foundation supported The School of Drama in K-Arts's international exchange project, featuring a Hong Kong performance of A Midsummer Night's Dream Like Never Before alongside a series of theatre exchange programs with the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (HKAPA).
Originally developed as a repertory production of the School of Drama, the performance was presented at HKAPA as part of a broader cultural exchange initiative. In addition to the performance, creative workshops and exchange sessions were organized for HKAPA students, providing opportunities to share Korean approaches to theatre-making and arts education while fostering dialogue between emerging artists from Korea and Hong Kong.
Moving beyond a one-time overseas performance, the project strengthened artistic and educational exchange between the two institutions and contributed to building mutual understanding within the Asian performing arts community. By bringing together students, educators, and theatre practitioners, the programme laid the groundwork for future international collaboration and sustainable cultural partnerships.
Through its support of this project, the Yang Won Sun Foundation contributed to expanding opportunities for international exchange in the performing arts and to promoting meaningful cross-cultural dialogue through theatre.
